Musica Sacra’s autumn concert series underway

New classical music performed in artistically bright concerts is the goal of Musica Sacra’s autumn concert series. Every Saturday at 4 pm between now and November 25, concertgoers will be able to hear both new and well-known pieces at Eliisabeti kirik (St Elizabeth’s Church) in Pärnu.

The next concert in the series on September 23, will focus on Beethoven’s 32nd piano sonata. The concert, which will be performed by internationally acclaimed Estonian pianist Irina Zahharenkova, will also see pieces from Beethoven’s 22nd, 23rd and 24th sonatas played.

Another highlight of the concert series is the Eesti Fantaasia (Estonian Fantasy) concert on October 7. Violinist Leena Lass and organ player Ines Maidre will perform pieces from up-and-coming and well-known Estonian composers, including Arvo Pärt.

Musica Sacra’s autumn concert series, which is organized by Pärnu Opera, will run every Saturday from September 2 until November 25. In total, 13 concerts will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Pärnu.

Tickets for individual concerts as well as passes for the entire series can be bought at Piletilevi
