The Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili will perform in Tallinn this evening (October 9) at the Alexela Concert Hall in Tallinn. Established in 1945, Sukhishvili has become one of the most renowned dance companies in the world, blending Georgia’s folk traditions with professional dance.
The group has performed in over 100 countries and has mesmerised audiences in some of the world’s most prestigious opera houses and venues. After a performance at La Scala, the audience was so enthralled that they called the dancers back to the stage 13 times, breaking the previous record of 11 curtain calls set by Enrico Caruso.
Sukhishvili’s shows are celebrated for their dynamic energy and stunning visuals. Male dancers impress with acrobatic leaps and powerful movements, while female dancers balance this with graceful and elegant motions. The troupe, dressed in traditional Georgian costumes, present choreographies that merge history, culture, and contemporary elements.
The accompanying music combines traditional Georgian melodies with modern arrangements, making the performances appear timeless.
You can get more information about the group and tickets on the official Sukishvili webpage.
