16–24.10 BANFF Mountain Film Festival, Tallinn, Tartu

The BANFF film festival focuses on adventure and nature films. Expect inspiring and exhilarating stories about mountaineering, trekking and various adventure sports. During the evening of the festival, seven films of different lengths will be screened. 

 

19–26.10 Hiiumaa Restaurant Week, around Hiiumaa

During Hiiumaa Restaurant Week, six local restaurants and cafes will offer special set menus, and various entertainment and sporting events will also take place. The participating restaurants are: Utoopia nr 9, Tuuletorn cafe Ruudi, Hiiumaa Pruulikoja Resto, Kao Thai, Iiumekk Resto, Rannapaargu Restaurant.

 

22.10 Apocalyptica ”Plays Metallica Vol.2 Tour 2024″, Alexela Concert Hall, Tallinn

World-famous Finnish cello band Apocalyptica will perform songs from their latest album “Plays Metallica by Four Cellos.” The new release continues the band’s tribute to the legendary heavy metal band Metallica, and showcases their unique style that blends classical instrumentation with metal influences.

 

22–25.10 Tallinn Fashion Week, Kultuurikatel, Tallinn

Estonian and international designers will show their latest collections at the biggest event of its kind in the country. The event, which began in 2007, opens with the prestigious Golden Needle Gala.

 

23.10 Naily Saripova piano night, Tubina Hall, Tartu

Naily Saripova, who holds a doctorate from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and has been awarded prizes at several international competitions including the Silvio Bengalli Prize in Italy, will perform piano compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven.

 

23.–27.10 Klaver International Piano Festival, Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn

This year’s festival will highlight female pianists, featuring renowned artists such as Olga Kern, Elena Bashkirova and Kirke Karja. As well as concerts engaging pre-concert discussions will also take place.

 

24.10 Rapla night market, Central Square, Rapla

The market, which will take place between 5 and 6:30 pm will offer tasty local food, handicrafts, the opportunity to grab a bargain, and a nice community atmosphere.

 

26.10 Humalafest Beer Festival, Humalakoda, Tallinn

13 microbreweries from Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Italy will offer a wide range of different beers to taste. Festival goers will also have the possibility to enjoy a food menu made especially for the event.

 

26.10–03.11 Pärnu Restaurant Week, Pärnu

This year marks the tenth edition of the popular event. In total, 34 restaurants will offer special set 3-course menus ranging in price from 29-39 euros. As well as food, there will also be a variety of live entertainment.

 

27.10 Pärnu Beach Race, Pärnu

The popular annual autumn race, which marks the end of the running season, takes runners along the scenic promenade as well as past many of the city’s most important landmarks. The 5 and 10-km races can also be completed by Nordic walking. There will be shorter races for children too.
