Estonian Museum of Natural History
Considering the size of Estonia, it’s a wonderful fact to know that over half of this small country is covered in wilderness. Estonia has beautiful forests and stunning coastlines. Nature lovers will fall in love with Estonia.
The Estonian Museum of Natural History is located on Lai Street in the heart of the Old Town. In fact, many of the city’s museums can be found on Lai, like the History Museum’s Great Guild Hall, the NUKU Puppet Museum, the Health Museum, and the Design Museum.
The exhibits at the Estonian Museum of Natural History span over three floors. The ground floor houses the temporary exhibits. Until May 31, you can learn all about owls in the Night Flyers exhibit.
The first floor covers aquatic life. The second floor looks at the biodiversity of Estonia’s forests and meadows. Together, the museum has close to 260,000 specimens. There is a lot to learn at the Estonian Museum of Natural History and you can really get up close to get a good look at the animals. There is something to learn for both kids and adults.
